Update from the Campaign Trail
Senator Deb Patterson with Salem City Councilors Linda Nishioka and Mai Vang.
Dear Friends,
Good morning from the Campaign Trail! As of today, there are only 102 days left until the November 3rd election, and I'm excited to share an update with you.
First of all, I think many of you have met my Campaign Manager, Antonio Martinez, who was a Legislative Assistant in my office earlier this year. Antonio hails from Monmouth and earned his undergraduate degree from OSU in Political Science, after transferring from Chemeketa Community College. He is also a graduate of Central High School. Antonio has also served on the campaign staff of Congresswoman Andrea Salinas. His email is Antonio@DebPattersonOR.org.
We were joined last week by Jade Haddad, who is working as Field Director to help coordinate volunteers for connecting with voters. She is also from this Senate District. She is a graduate of South Salem High School and recently completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Santa Clara University. She also brings experience on a Congressional team, having interned for Senator Merkley. Her email is Jade@DebPattersonOR.org.
I am enjoying working with these two bright young people, and I hope that you have the opportunity to meet them soon, too. If they are any indication of the current generation of recent graduates, the future of our country is in good hands,
They will be joining me tomorrow, Saturday, July 25th at 10 am for a canvas kickoff at the Marion County Democrats' Office (245 High St NE, Salem, OR 97301). We will be holding a joint kickoff with Rep. Paul Evans (HD 20) and Rep. Tom Andersen (HD 19), who are also running for re-election. Please join us!
If you aren't available tomorrow, here are five things you can do to help:
Sign up to canvass at a future event.
Host a yard sign - especially if you live on a street with high visibility.
Host a house party - we need to raise funds from now until November 3rd!
Make some calls to encourage folks to vote.
Donate online or by sending a check to "Friends of Deb Patterson, PO Box 8, Salem, OR 97308."
Want more information or want to sign up? Please get in touch with Antonio, Jade, or me. Their emails are above, and mine is Deb@DebPattersonOR.org.
Many thanks! I hope you are enjoying the summer. I look forward to connecting with you soon.
Warmly,
Deb
