A Word from Coretta Scott King
Senator Patterson and her Campaign Manager, Jade, on Sunday, October 11th.
In 2002, at the age of 74, Coretta Scott King was interviewed by noted photographer Joyce Tenneson. The photo that accompanies her words shows an older woman full of dignity and strength.
Mrs. King stated, “When you age, you become wiser in so many ways. Experience has shown you the potential of the human spirit. Committing to do what is right, what is just, and what is good will bring you fulfillment.”
There are so many ways to do what is right, what is just, and what is good. Truly, these actions can bring fulfillment. Mrs. King was a wise woman, indeed.
I am so grateful to meet so many people who are working so hard to do what is right, what is just, and what is good, and I am trying to do those things, too. I look forward to seeing you and hearing from you about all that you are doing – and may it bring you fulfillment, as well.
